"These days, most creative-writing courses teach self-indulgence. Write Tight counsels discipline. It is worth more than a university education. Its advice is gold." -Dean Koontz Foreword by Lawrence Block Not since The Elements of Style has a writing guide had the ability to turn a writer's work around so effectively. Every writer struggles with keeping their prose focused and concise, but surprisingly few books address this essential topic. Write Tight is an informative and utterly readable guide that tackles these issues head-on. This an honest gut wrenching narrative of transparent truths about marriage. With long life, experiences, sharing stories with friends, relatives, colleagues, parents and children; There is a great deal of information that I amassed regarding this God ordained institution called marriage. Many individuals embark on the journey of being married totally oblivious of the road that they may or may not travel. Some people feel and say “they will learn from their mistakes.” What I want to reiterate in this book as has been declared by other books written on the subject of marriage is; one, that “Marriage is not a bowl of cherries”. Two that it is not for the “faint of heart” Nevertheless, with a lot of patience, love, endurance, and long suffering anyone considering taking the journey down the road to marriage having read my book will not have to travel blindfolded.

Faith and Caring in the Global Village
Language: en
Pages: 196
Authors: Jonas Georges
Categories: Religion
Type: BOOK - Published: 2009-12 - Publisher: iUniverse

Faith and Caring in the Global Village is about pastoral care and Christian spirituality in the age of an ever-shrinking, interdependent world. It is a call to action that delves into the current argument about the necessity for the Church to embrace the mission-based paradigm in the ecclesial communities that are eager to have their say in the way the good news is communicated to them and to others. It speaks especially to the historical denominations that are still reluctant to do away with deep-seated traditions and social/racial status. Listening to the current tone of the debate, one would think that only scientists and politicians are responsible for the problems humans face and, therefore, they and they alone have the moral obligation and capacity to propose solutions for the resulting challenges, and lay out a set of plans to deliver us from annihilation. Although they have an important role to play, the exemplary conduct of many of Christ's followers and the results of the teaching in many Christian communities points in a different direction, the Church. In the final analysis, the appropriate response to the call for relevancy leads to the understanding and acceptance of diversity in people, culture, and in practice; and to unity in purpose.
